MEDIA ADVISORY: Fort Rucker MAST to teach medical evacuation procedures on campus
   

TROY—Members of the Wiregrass Military Assistance to Safety and Traffic Team (MAST) will visit the Troy University Campus on Tuesday, Feb. 12, to teach medical evacuation procedures via helicopter.

The MAST Team will provide air medical evacuation classes for Troy University nursing students, Army ROTC Cadets and members of the press. The general public is also invited to attend. The helicopter will land on the lower intramural field near the Collegeview School of Nursing Building on the Troy Campus.

We are recommending media use the Pell Avenue entrance to the intramural fields.

The schedule is as follows:

  • 10 a.m—secure landing zone
  • 11-11:30 a.m. aircraft to arrive
  • 11:30—12:15 Lunch in the Troy University dining hall
  • 12:30-4 p.m.—MAST personnel on site for training and questions

NOTE:  Guests will be allowed to speak with the air crew and tour the UH-1 evacuation helicopter, but no flights will be conducted.
