TROY – More than a half dozen companies will be at Troy University March 19 helping students tie up travel, adventure and learning into one package.
TROY’s Study Abroad fair, which will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 119 of the Trojan Center, is focused on bringing information to students, faculty, and parents through companies that sponsor study abroad.
“It’s a way to provide an in-depth understanding of what the companies offer,” said John Grice, Director of Study Abroad at TROY.
“Students and their parents can get financial aid and scholarship information through a particular organization,” said Grice. “There is over $2 million worth of financial aid through these companies.”
Grice encourages all students to attend and learn more about the program.
“Students gain a unique perspective on themselves and the counties they come from in Study Abroad,” said Grice.
Grice, who served two years in the Peace Corps and participated in study abroad as a senior in college, said the program opens doors to new things and greater opportunities.
“Study Abroad can have a big impact on a student’s life, and parents will see the positive effect that it has on their student,” said Grice.
