Chancellor Byrne, who heads the Alabama Department for Postsecondary Education and serves as chief executive office of the Alabama College System, will keynote the day-long conference that will bring about 140 student affairs administrators from colleges and universities across Alabama.

During the conference, attendees will also participate in “interest sessions” aimed at helping to improve the level of service Alabama students receive, said Troy University Dean of Students Herbert Reeves.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in sessions covering emergency crisis response, student health and wellness, crisis intervention, institutional image, collegiate parent programs, threat assessment, legal issues and other topics.
