Troy University Hosts Turfgrass Road Show

Troy University welcomes the Alabama Turfgrass Association to Dothan for its annual Turfgrass Road Show.
The one-day workshop, which is part of the association’s five-city educational tour, brought more than 80 turfgrass experts to TROY to learn the latest on soil preparation, weed control, pesticides, pruning and responsible watering, according to Troy University Groundskeeper and Alabama Turfgrass Association Board Member Scot Craig. “The green industry is the number one industry in the State of Alabama,” Craig said. “It encompasses the lawn care, sod and golf course industries, along with parks and recreation.” The Turfgrass Road Show continues in February with workshops in Montgomery, Birmingham and Huntsville.
