Troy Theater Department Presents The Misanthrope

TROY- The Troy University Theatre Department will present “The Misanthrope” by Jean Baptiste Poquelin Moliere on February 14, 15, 16, and 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Trojan Center Theatre.

According to Kaley Green, Troy University Theatre marketing and public relations manager, the play is “hilarious”.

“It’s about society and relationships,” said Green, “and the way that men and women play games with one another.”

The theater department is bringing in a guest director for this production, Siona Macleod, and will have a different kind of setting than most productions, one where the actors will be surrounded by the audience.

Green describes the production as “an intimate setting with a modern day twist.”

Tickets go on sale at the Trojan Center Box Office starting on Jan. 28.  They can also be purchased at the door depending on availability.

The production will be free for students with a TROY ID and $5 for reserved seating.

To reserve tickets, call the Trojan Center Box Office at (334) 670-3293.
