Risk Management symposium slated for Nov. 7 in Birmingham

TROY – Troy University’s Risk Management and Insurance Program will host its annual Risk Management and Insurance Symposium Nov. 7-8 at the Embassy Suites hotel in Birmingham.

Some 75 students from 11 universities will attend, and insurance professional may receive up to 9 hours of continuing education credit for attending the symposium, said Dr. Carol Jordan, director of the program in TROY’s Sorrell College of Business.

Symposium speakers will be:

• Patricia Roberts- President of General Star Indemnity Company
• Anthony Strianese- Regional Executive Vice President of Brown and Brown, Inc
• Pat Talley-President of Lloyd’s of Kentucky, Inc.
• Jacqueline Merse- Senior Underwriter at Allied World Assurance Company
• Jonathan McKenzie- Assistant Vice President of Cooper Gay Risk Services, Inc.

From 3 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, a career fair will be conducted for students and alumni. Companies participating in the career fair are:
