Troy University's annual Alumni Reunion set for March 20-21

TROY—Troy University is extending an invitation to all alumni to attend the University’s annual Spring Reunion weekend, March 20-21, on the Troy Campus.
Alumni Affairs Director Faith Ward said the event provides alumni with the opportunity to reconnect with former classmates, as well as the University.

“The Alumni Reunion provides a wonderful opportunity for our alumni to come back to campus and witness first hand the tremendous growth that is taking place at TROY,” Ward said. “The reunion is a time for alumni to renew old friendships, take part in the fun activities we have planned for the weekend and enjoy good fellowship with fellow Trojans.”

Reunion activities will get under way on March 20 with an alumni cookout at 4:30 p.m. at the University’s Alumni House, located on the corner of George Wallace Drive and Highland Avenue. Alumni are then encouraged to show their Trojan spirit by rooting on the TROY baseball team as they host Western Kentucky at Riddle-Pace Field at 6 p.m.

Reunion activities on March 21 will include a St. Patrick’s Day Parade down University Avenue at noon, a luncheon for former athletic letter winners on the fourth floor of the Stadium Tower at 12:30 p.m., a spring football scrimmage at Movie Gallery Veterans Stadium at 2 p.m., a cocktail reception on the second floor lobby of the Trojan Center beginning at 5 p.m., and the annual reunion banquet in the Trojan Center Ballrooms at 6 p.m. Alumni chapter honors and the University’s Distinguished Leadership Award will be presented during the reunion banquet. Tickets for the event are $25 and include admission to the reception. Reservation deadline for the banquet is March 17.

The reunion will bring to a close a week of Irish-themed activities on the Troy Campus, including a “Pot of Gold” search and an Irish cooking contest for employees and a community brown bag lunch event on the Square in downtown Troy at noon on March 19.
