May 12, 2009 Major news conference scheduled for Wednesday, May 13 Troy University Chancellor Jack Hawkins, Jr., Gov. Bob Riley and Postsecondary Education Chancellor Bradley Byrne will conduct a joint news conference at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 13 in the Rosa Parks Museum Auditorium at 252 Montgomery Street in downtown Montgomery.Joining the Governor and Chancellors will be various presidents of two-year community colleges (listed below and updated May 12). Off-street parking for the media will be available in the parking lot at the rear of the Rosa Parks Museum. Entry into the news conference can be gained through the parking lot door. Additionally, reporters should hold questions until the question-and-answer period and until a microphone is available for use. This conference will announce a partnership between TROY and various community colleges to allow community college students to complete a four-year degree through TROY via distance learning. The program is called eConnections.
