November 9, 2009 Annual festival to kick of International Education Week at Troy University TROY- The International Student Cultural Organization (ISCO) festival will highlight a week of activities aimed at promoting internationalization at Troy University. The ISCO Festival, which features international cuisine and entertainment by TROY students, is set for 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13 in the Trojan Ballroom. The festival will kick off the University’s observance of International Education Week, a nationwide event set for Nov. 13-19 that is designed to showcase the benefits of international student exchange and cultural diversity. “This is an annual dinner that ISCO hosts,” said Maria Frigge, an international student advisor who is coordinating the week. “During this event there will be dishes from around the world and our talented international students will perform.” More than 700 international students are enrolled on the Troy Campus. Some of the performers that will be participating in the event will be VedangKumar Oza from India, Miki Kashiwa from Japan and Jin Wang from China. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for non-students. ISCO will have a table in the Trojan Center food court Monday through Friday, starting Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased at 127 Pace Hall or at 334-808-6146.
