Chancellor Hawkins will speak at Montgomery Lions Club

Oct. 10: Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., Troy University’s chancellor, will speak to the Montgomery Lions Club at 12 noon. The club meets at the RSA Activity Center, located at 201 Dexter Avenue.

Ambassador Sichan Siv will serve as Ambassador-in-Residence

Oct. 13-17: Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Sichan Siv will inaugurate TROY’s Ambassador-in-Residence program. He will provide in-class lectures and be the feature of a special open-to-the-public symposium on Oct. 14 from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Hawkins-Adams-Long Hall of Honor on the Troy Campus. A special book signing event will take place in the Hall prior to the start of the symposium.

Ambassador Siv’s book “Golden Bones: An Extraordinary Journey from Hell in Cambodia to a New Life in America,” has received critical acclaim nationwide and chronicles his flight from the Khamer Rouge regime in Cambodia.
