Aquatic ecosystem demonstration receives grant

Oct. 28, 11:30 a.m. (Troy Campus): Troy University and the Wiregrass Resource, Conservation and Development Council will unveil an aquatic ecosystem demonstration project in McCall Hall, the University’s Math and Science Complex.

The demonstration is located in the student lobby on the first floor and is a living saltwater reef tank.

State Rep. Allen Boothe and State Sen. Wendell Mitchell will present a check to help support the demonstration project.

Trojan Warrior statue dedication

Nov. 6, 10 a.m. (Dothan Campus): Troy University will dedicate a bronze Trojan statue on its Dothan Campus with a ceremony at the statue.

This statue is a replica of the bronze statue donated by Chinese artist Hou Bau Zhu that sits on the Troy Campus Quad and forming the centerpiece of a fountain.

Speaking at the event will be TROY Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., Dr. Don Jeffrey, vice chancellor of the Dothan Campus, and Mr. Charles Nailen, a Dothan business leader and Troy University trustee. Mrs. Shelia Jackson, of Troy, will provide special music.
