John M. Long School of Music students to perform honors recital

TROY – Seven Troy University music education majors will perform in the fall Honors Recital at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19 in the Hawkins-Adams-Long Hall of Honor.

The students, including two seniors, were selected last week after auditions before a panel of TROY music faculty, according to Dr. James Zingara, associate professor of music. Before auditioning, the students must be recommended by their instructors.

“This biennial formal concert features outstanding individual performers,” he said.

Performing in this fall’s honors recital are:

    Bucky Alleman, trumpet; a senior music education major from Orlando, FL Daniel Arute, trumpet; a senior music education major from Dothan Allison Conlan, flute; a junior music education major from Leesburg, GA Jacob Fortner, euphonium; a sophomore music education major from Lucedale, MS Clayton Paramore, baritone; a sophomore music education major from Ozark Christopher Petre, flute; a sophomore music education major from Valdosta, GA Jace Vickers, euphonium; a sophomore music education major from Ashford
