Judge Greg Mathis opens Leadership Conference Celebrating Black History Month

Feb. 6-7: The 8th Annual Leadership Conference Celebrating Black History Month will be hosted by Troy University and the City of Troy.

Judge Greg Mathis will open the Conference on Friday, Feb. 6. To cover Judge Mathis’ speech, media MUST contact the University Relations Office to reserve space. This event will take place in Sartain Hall but is very limited in space. Working print and radio media will have access to the scorer’s table and television media will have floor space in the general area of the scorer’s table. We must have a hard confirmation by 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5. Confirm via email to clusk@troy.edu clusk@troy.edu .

At this time, there will be no one-on-one interviews available with Judge Mathis. Media covering the speech must be in place no later than 5:45 p.m.

On Saturday, Feb. 7, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Andrew Young, a former mayor of Atlanta and U.S. Congressman, will address the Conference. To cover this event, please be in place in the Trojan Center Ballroom no later than 11:30 a.m.
