TROY – Troy University’s Trumpet Ensemble I will perform at the International Guild Conference in May at the invitation of Guild directors.
The invitation marks the second time the Ensemble has been invited to perform.

Zingara said joining TROY will be just six other collegiate trumpet ensembles. For this year’s performance, the group will commission two new pieces to premier at the conference by Canadian composer David Marlatt and Boston composer Kevin McKee.
Members of this year’s ensemble include Daniel Arute, a senior music education major from Dothan, Chris Jeter, a junior music education major from Wetumpka, Alan Roberts, a junior music education major from Wetumpka, Melanie Perry, a junior music education major from Zion Chapel, Rhett Griffith, a senior music education/general music major from Ozark, Justin Compton, a junior music education major from Jemison, and Lee Hughes, a sophomore music education major from Mobile
