MONTGOMERY—Area job seekers are invited to explore new career opportunities at Troy University’s Spring Career Fair on Thursday, March 19, at the Montgomery Campus.

The fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Gold Room inside Whitley Hall and is open to all members of the public, TROY students and alumni.

The event will feature recruiters from several career fields including: accounting, banking and finance, government, business, computer information systems, resources management, human resources, social sciences, liberal arts and nursing.

Employers expected to participate in the career fair include:

  • Jackson Hospital
  • Max Federal Credit Union
  • Alabama Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation
  • Columbus, Ga. Police Department
  • Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources

Janice Patrick, Career Services coordinator, advised job seekers to come dressed for an interview, with several copies of their resumes and letters of recommendation.

“The most important thing to understand is that every conversation with a recruiter is an interview and needs to be treated like one,” Patrick said.
