DOTHAN—Troy University business faculty will share research and ideas on the topics of technology, globalization and quality during the 11th annual Sorrell College of Business Research Symposium on Thursday, April 2, and Friday, April 3, at the Dothan Campus.
More than 60 business professors from throughout TROY worldwide will present research papers, attend professional development workshops and discuss classroom instruction and business education issues during the two-day event.
“The Sorrell College of Business values research as well as teaching, and the symposium is a chance to showcase faculty research,” said business professor Dr. Barbara Minksy.
In addition to faculty research, select students will also present research papers.
Guest speaker for the symposium will be Dr. Rodney S. Hinton, chief operating officer and general manager of Jordan Outdoor Enterprises, Ltd., better known as Realtree. Hinton will speak during a luncheon starting at 12:40 p.m. on Friday.
The event marks the first time the research symposium has been held at the Dothan Campus. The first session will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday in Malone Hall.
