Troy University Spring Honors Recital is April 23

TROY – Troy University’s John M. Long School of Music will have its annual Spring Honors Recital at 8:30 p.m. April 23 at Bush Memorial Baptist Church.

The biennial formal concert features outstanding individual student performers who have been first recommended by their private instructors then win an audition before a panel of Troy University music faculty, said Dr. Jim Zingara, who helps coordinate the recital.

Participating in this year’s recital is:

  • Christina Banks, clarinet, a sophomore music education major from Panama City, FL,
  • Rhett Griffith, trumpet, a senior music education/music industry major from Ozark,
  • Christopher Jeter, a senior music education major from Wetumpka,
  • Melissa Kingsmore, flute, a senior music education major from Robertsdale,
  • Tiffany Reeves, clarinet, a senior music education major from Baker,
  • Scott Sexton, piano, a senior music education major from Troy, and
  • J. Bryant Stokes, tenor, a junior theater major from Troy.

The recital is free and open to the public.
