TROY football coaches give lessons to Dothan children

DOTHAN—Dozens of local children got a taste of Trojan football on Thursday, June 4, thanks to Troy University head football coach Larry Blakeney and his coaching staff.

More than 60 children ages 6 to 13 took part in the sixth annual Larry Blakeney Troy University Football Camp at Rip Hewes Stadium in Dothan.

The coaches led participants through several activities designed to help them improve in the areas of running, passing, pass protection and zone coverage.

The camp was sponsored by the Troy University Wiregrass Alumni Chapter, Carr, Riggs and Ingram, CPA; ScreenTech, CenturyTel, Holiday Inn Express, Dairy Fresh, Dothan Leisure Services, WOOF 99.7 FM, SportsTalk AM 560 WOOF “The Ball,” Photorama and Burger King.
