Local children improve baseball skills with TROY coach Bobby Pierce

DOTHAN—More than 60 children ages 6 to13 got the chance to improve their baseball skills on Thursday, July 16, with the help of Troy University head baseball coach Bobby Pierce.

The 2009 Bobby Pierce Troy University Baseball Camp was held at the Dixie Youth Complex at Westgate Park in Dothan. Coach Pierce, along with members of the TROY coaching staff and players, led participants through a series of drills designed to improve hitting, fielding and throwing skills.

The camp was sponsored by the Troy University Wiregrass Alumni Chapter, ScreenTech, CenturyTel, Carr, Riggs & Ingram, Dairy Fresh, Dothan Leisure Services, WOOF 99.7 FM, SportsTalk AM 560 WOOF “The Ball,” The Dothan Eagle, Photorama and Burger King.
