First Doctor of Nursing Practice class kicks off
July 29 – Montgomery Campus: Troy University’s first class of Doctor of Nursing Practice students begin their doctoral program at 8:30 a.m. in the Gold Room on the second floor of Whitley Hall.
Dr. Jack Hawkins Jr., Chancellor of Troy University, will address the 15-member student cohort, School of Nursing faculty, University officials and others during the 8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. welcome session. During this time, several presentations will be made.
A noon luncheon will feature Dean of the College of Health and Human Services Dr. Damon Andrew, Dr. Bernita Hamilton, director of the School of Nursing, and Cynthia Dixon, vice-president of patient care services at Jackson Hospital.

Montgomery Campus Commencement
TONIGHT: Troy University’s Montgomery Campus will hold its summer commencement ceremony on Monday, July 27, at 7 p.m. inside the Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts.
The commencement address will be delivered by Dr. Glenda S. Curry, Rector of All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Homewood, Ala. Prior to becoming an ordained priest in the Episcopal church, Dr. Curry served as president of TROY’s Montgomery Campus.
