MONTGOMERY—Artist Alfred Conteh will discuss his work during a gallery talk at Troy University’s Rosa Parks Museum on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Conteh will be discussing his exhibit, “Going Against the Grain," currently on display at the museum through Nov. 20.
The gallery talk will be held at 11:30 a.m. inside the exhibit hall. It will be free and open to the public.
Working in a variety of mediums including oil on canvas and wood, mixed media assemblages and metal sculpture, Conteh’s art explores the history and images of African-American culture in the south.
The exhibit hall at the Rosa Parks Museum is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday
