TROY Fall Honors Recital set

TROY, Ala.—Troy University’s John M. Long School of Music will feature seven seniors during its Fall Honors Recital on Wednesday, Nov. 18.

The recital will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Hawkins-Adams-Long Hall of Honor.

“This is a biennial formal concert to feature outstanding individual performers who have to be first recommended by their private instructors and then go on to win an audition before a panel of Troy University music faculty,” said Dr. James Zingara, professor of trumpet and director of the recital.

Students selected to perform in the fall concert are:

  • John Baumer, baritone, a senior choral music education major from Altha, FL,
  • Allison Conlan, flute, a senior music education major from Leesburg, GA,
  • Chris Helms, alto saxophone, a freshman music education major from Smiths Station
  • Bryant Kimbrough, piano, a senior music education major from Troy,
  • Melanie Perry, trumpet, a senior music education major from Jack,
  • Christopher Petre, flute, a junior music education major from Valdosta, GA,
  • Jace Vickers, euphonium, a junior music education major from Dothan.

The recital is free and open to the public.
