TROY, Ala.—Troy University’s College of Communication and Fine Arts will present “Sounds of the Season,” a traditional holiday celebration, on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Claudia Crosby Theater.
The production entitled “Illuminations” will feature performances by the University’s Symphony Band, Gospel Choir, Theater Department, Collegiate Singers, Concert Chorale, Jazz Ensemble I, a Brass Quintet, and “frequency,” a vocal jazz ensemble. The performance will also feature a number of soloists.
“Sounds of the Season” is offered as a gift to the Troy community, said Dr. Larry Blocher, director of TROY’s John M. Long School of Music.
“It’s a great way to start the holiday season,” Dr. Blocher said.
This year’s performance is free and open to the public but requires an admission ticket, available through the Trojan Center Box Office. The box office is located on the first floor of the Trojan Center, directly beneath the Barnes & Noble bookstore and adjacent to the fitness center. Seating for the event is limited. For more information, contact the box office at 334-670-3293.
Immediately following the concert, the campus Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place outside Crosby Theater.
