DOTHAN—The Harrison Walking Trail and bike trail at Troy University’s Dothan Campus will be closed starting Friday, Jan. 29, due to the construction of a new water tower.

The trails located behind Malone Hall total more than 10 miles and are generally open to the public for walking and biking during daylight hours. Construction related to the installation of a new water tower will keep the trails closed until June, said Dr. Don Jeffrey, Dothan Campus vice chancellor.

Troy University donated a two-acre site on campus to the City of Dothan for the water tower project which will provide greater water pressure to the university and surrounding area.
