TROY, Ala.—Troy University’s John M. Long School of Music and the Troy Arts Council will present its 12th annual Festival of Trumpets Concert on Feb. 27.
The 7:30 p.m. concert will be at Bush Memorial Baptist Church on George Wallace Boulevard.
“The concert is the culmination of the activities involved with the Troy University Trumpet Symposium, a full day of clinics for middle school, high school and college level students,” said Dr. James Zingara, a professor of trumpet who is coordinating the concert.
The concert includes performances by clinicians Dr. Daniel Kelly, a professor of trumpet at the University of Southern Mississippi, TROY trumpet faculty member Michael Keeley and Zingara. Also performing will be the TROY Trumpet Ensemble and several honors ensembles comprised of area high school students.
“The event will offer the ceremony, scope and variety of a typical band or orchestra concert and will conclude with a spectacular mass finale comprised of more than one hundred performers,” Zingara said.
