TROY—Troy University is extending an invitation to all alumni to attend the University’s annual Spring Reunion weekend, March 26-27, on the Troy Campus.
Alumni Affairs Director Faith Ward said the annual event provides alumni with the opportunity to reconnect with former classmates, as well as the University.
“The reunion is a time for alumni to renew old friendships and enjoy good fellowship with fellow Trojans,” Ward said. “We invite alumni to come back to witness first hand the tremendous growth that is taking place at TROY.”
Reunion activities will get under way at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 24, with an alumni cookout on the grounds of the Alumni House, located across from Movie Gallery Veterans Stadium at the corners of Highland Avenue and George Wallace Drive.
Alumni of the University’s Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion are invited to attend the department’s annual awards banquet, beginning at 6 p.m., March 24, in the Trojan Center Ballrooms. Admission to the event is $15, and reservations should be made by calling 334-670-3443.
Reunion activities on Saturday March 27 will include a St. Patrick’s Day-themed parade down University Avenue at noon, a luncheon for former athletic letter winners on the fourth floor of the Stadium Tower at 12:30 p.m., a baseball game between the Trojans and Brown University at Riddle-Pace Field at 1 p.m. and a spring football scrimmage in Movie Gallery Veterans Stadium beginning at 2 p.m.
A reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the second floor lobby area of the Trojan Center, preceding the annual Alumni Reunion Dinner at 6 p.m. in the Trojan Center Ballrooms. Alumni chapter honors and the University’s Distinguished Leadership Award will be presented during the reunion dinner. Tickets for the event are $30, which includes admission to the reception. Reservation deadline for the dinner is March 23.
