PHENIX CITY—Troy University will offer a two-day continuing education workshop on treating patients with trauma and post traumatic stress disorder at the Phenix City Campus on June 25-26.
The workshop will teach mental health professionals new techniques for treating trauma and PTSD including an introduction to energy psychology techniques and new ways to relax and release tension.
The sessions will be taught by counselors Harold McRae of Columbus, Ga., and Sarah Bird of the United Kingdom.
The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, June 25, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, inside the Higginbotham Building, room 123. Participants can earn 10 contact hours of continuing education credit.
