Author Kimberly Willis Holt to speak at TROY Phenix City Campus

PHENIX CITY—Award-winning author Kimberly Willis Holt will share insight into her creative process during a presentation at Troy University’s Phenix City Campus on Wednesday, Nov. 10.

Holt, the author of 14 books for children and young adults, will discuss finding a story, creating characters and how to write from your own life experiences. The presentation will include a question-and-answer session.

The event will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. inside the Higginbotham Building, room 123. Admission is free and open to the public.

Holt is a National Book Award winner for her second novel, “When Zachary Beaver Came to Town.” Her first novel, “My Louisiana Sky,” was an American Library Association Notable Book and an ALA Top Ten Best Book for Young Adult.

Other books by Holt include the Piper Reed series and “Keeper of the Night.”
