DOTHAN—More than 40 paintings by local artists are on display at Troy University’s Dothan Campus in an exhibit sponsored by the Dothan Wiregrass Art League.

The exhibit showcases work in a wide range of styles and themes, said art league member Patti Walker.

“We have a variety of really great pieces on display including oil on canvas, watercolors, some very realistic paintings and some loose, impressionistic work,” Walker said.

All of the paintings in the exhibit are also available for purchase, Walker said.

The exhibit opened this week and will be on display through Dec. 16 inside the gallery hall located in the Library/Technology Building. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Dothan Wiregrass Art League is an organization of local artists who have banded together to promote art in the community. The league sponsors regular art shows, exhibits and workshops.
