Contestants sought for University’s Ms. Venus Pageant

TROY—Troy University is seeking contestants for the annual Ms. Venus Pageant on March 3. The pageant is set for 7 p.m. in Claudia Crosby Theater on the Troy Campus.

The Ms. Venus Pageant is open to all females who are currently enrolled at one of Troy University’s Alabama campuses.

The pageant’s winner will receive a crown, a sash and a $150 book scholarship. The first runner up will receive a $100 book scholarship, while the second runner up wins a $50 book scholarship.

Application deadline is 4 p.m., March 2. Applications, which are available online, should be returned, along with a $25 non-refundable fee, to Brenda Campbell, Admissions Office, 111 Adams Administration Building. Checks should be made payable to Ms. Venus Pageant.

Contestants will be required to attend mandatory practice from 4 to 5:30 p.m., the day of pageant.
