Small businesses can learn to contract with the federal government

TROY—The Troy University Small Business Development Center is hosting a free two-hour seminar aimed at introducing small businesses to government contracting.

“Introduction to Government Contracting” is scheduled for 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Geneva City Hall on April 26.

“This seminar is designed to expose small businesses to new markets for their products and services by selling to the government,” said Judy Callin, a senior consultant at the Center.

Topics include researching the government market, registering as a government contractor, special programs and certifications in government contracting and marketing products and services to the government.
