TROY Spring Honors Recital slated for April 20

TROY—Select students in Troy University’s John M. Long School of Music will perform the Spring Honors Recital in Claudia Crosby Theater on April 20.

“This biennial formal concert features outstanding individual performers who have first been recommended by their private instructors and then go on to win an audition before a panel of University music faculty,” said Dr. James Zingara, an associate professor of music who coordinates the recital.

Selected to perform this year are:
Wendy Cho, a senior pianist and a music education major from Luverne;
Noel Davis, a senior soprano and music education major from Eufaula;
Robbie Clayson, a sophomore marimba player and music education major for Ozark;
Chris Helms, a sophomore alto saxophone player and music education major from Smiths Station;
Heather Payne, a junior flutist and music industry major from Pell City;
Ashlee Robinson, a sophomore trumpet player and music education major from Opelika; and
Laura Waters, a senior pianist and music education major for Hazelhurst, Ga.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, begins at 8:15 p.m.
