DOTHAN—Workshops on the treatment of work-related injuries and effective marketing for medical practice are among the classes for healthcare professionals being offered this month by Troy University's Continuing Education Center at the Dothan Campus.
"Effective Treatment for Work-Related Injuries" presented by the Hughston Foundation will be offered on Friday, May 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will hear from doctors specializing in the latest treatments for injuries involving the hands, back, shoulder and hip.
Eligible participants, including occupational nurses, worker's compensation administrators and safety/OSHA directors, can earn education credits through the course. Registration is $70.
"Marketing for Medical Practice" will be held on Thursday, May 26, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A second session will be offered on June 2 at the same time.
The class will focus on developing effective marketing plans for healthcare practice. Instructor Sonya Jordan will cover target audiences, branding and logo design and social media and websites, among other topics. Registration is $49.
