TROY – Small businesses can learn more about developing business proposals for the federal government in a Troy University-sponsored program in Enterprise.

"The Government Proposal Process from an Industry Perspective" is slated for 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. October 18 at the Enterprise-Coffee-Geneva Economic Development Corporation in Yancey Parker Industrial Park. The program is provided by the Alabama Small Business Development Network, and TROY's Small Business Development Center and Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

"This program will explore several critical concerns regarding manufacturing proposals for federal contracting opportunities," said Judy Callin, a Senior Consultant for Troy's Small Business Development Center and Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

The program's instructor is Jerry Ellison, who has years of experience in proposing, winning, and managing government contracts. The theme of the workshop will follow the three major proposal concerns: technical, past performance, and costing.

There is no cost to attend and lunch is provided, however, the program is limited to the first 20 registrants.
