Legal writing, Excel classes upcoming at TROY Continuing Education Center

DOTHAN—Troy University will offer continuing education classes on legal research and writing and on using Microsoft Excel this month at the Dothan Campus.

Designed for paralegals or anyone who needs to do legal research, classes in legal research and writing will start Jan. 19. Participants will learn about laws in the area of wills, trusts and estates, as well as accumulation of assets, inventory and payment of debts, federal estate tax and return, gift tax and more.

Excel for beginners will be offered Jan. 23-24. Participants will learn how to create spreadsheets, format data, and work with formulas, pivot tables and more. The class will meet for four hours each evening from 5:30-9:30 p.m.
