Marketing ‘boot camp’ aimed at small business owners

TROY – Small business owners can learn effective marketing processes during a “Marketing Boot Camp” hosted by Troy University’s Small Business Development Center.

The half-day seminar is from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. March 5 at the Pike County Economic Development Center, located at 100 Industrial Blvd., in Troy. The cost to attend is $10 and registration may be completed by contacting via email, or calling 334-674-2425

A team of marketing professionals will lead participants through essential elements in building a marketing plan, and utilizing traditional, web and social platforms in marketing, said Judy Callin, a senior consultant with the TROY SBDC.

Presenting will be Norma Hanson, a former ad agency owner turned consultant will address general marketing; Brandon Shoupe, of Strategy6, will discuss web marketing; and Sharon Whittaker and Aubrey Haskins of Whittaker Marketing will discuss social media and general marketing.
