Engelbert Humperdinck will open Davis Theater season with concert Sept. 10

MONTGOMERY — Classic crooner Engelbert Humperdinck will open the 2013-2014 season at Troy University's Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts with a concert on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m.

A music industry veteran for the past 40 years with more than 150 million records sold, Humperdinck's vocal talent has endeared him to generations of fans around the world. His hit songs include “Release Me," “The Last Waltz," “A Man Without Love," and “After the Lovin'."

Humperdinck has four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe, numerous gold and platinum records and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Davis Theatre is located in downtown Montgomery at 251 Montgomery Street. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon.
