Troy University to present annual ‘Sounds of the Season’ on Dec. 5

TROY — Troy University’s College of Communication and Fine Arts will present “Sounds of the Season,” a traditional holiday celebration, on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Claudia Crosby Theater on the Troy Campus.

The production, entitled “Illuminations,” will feature performances by the Symphony Band, Collegiate Singers, Troy Dance Theatre, Concert Chorale, frequency, Gospel Choir, Jazz Ensemble, Opera Workshop, POPulus, Guitar Ensemble, an Irish Duo and a number of faculty soloists.

The holiday celebration is the opening concert of the 2013 Middle School Southeastern United States (SEUS) Honor Band weekend and is free and open to the public. For more information, please call the John M. Long School of Music office at 334-670-3322.

Following the production, the University’s Student Government Association will host a tree-lighting ceremony in front of Smith Hall.
