Troy University to host Steinway Initiative event

Sept. 11, 7 p.m.: Troy University will host a Steinway Initiative event and concert at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 11 in the Band Room inside John M. Long Hall on the Troy Campus. The event will feature welcoming remarks from Dr. Larry Blocher, Dean of the College of Communication and Fine Arts and Director of the John M. Long School of Music; remarks about All-Steinway Schools by Mr. Bill Metcalf, President and CEO of Steinway Piano Galleries; a musical presentation by Dr. Hui-Ting Yang, assistant professor of music, and students; a performance by Steinway Artist, Dr. William DeVan; and, remarks by Mr. Walter Givhan, Senior Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Economic Development at TROY.
