Slayton Scott crowned as 2014 homecoming queen at Troy University

TROY - Slayton Scott, a junior risk management & insurance major from Panama City, Fla., was crowned homecoming queen at Troy University today.

Scott was crowned by Gov. Robert Bentley, TROY Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., and 2013 queen Mallory Jayjohn.

Scott, the daughter of Michael and Cindy Scott, is active in the Student Government Association, currently serving as a Senator, publicity chair and a member of the Homecoming Committee. She is a member of the University Activities Council, a former Troy University cheerleader and social chair and risk management chair for Phi Mu sorority.

Scott is a member of the Delta Mu Delta business honor society, director of events for Gamma Iota Sigma, a member of the Risk Management & Insurance Society, an IMPACT Leader, a Trojan Ambassador, Tea for TROY, College Republicans and the Marketing Club.
