TROY - Troy University's International Student Cultural Organization (ISCO) will hold its annual International Festival at 6 p.m. on Thursday in the Trojan Center Ballrooms on the Troy Campus.
The festival concludes a week of special activities held on campus in conjunction with International Education Week, a joint initiative by the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education designed to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. Nearly 800 students representing 75 countries are enrolled on the Troy Campus.
With the theme "Trojan Spirit Around the World," the Festival will serve as a showcase for international unity and awareness on campus, said Joe McCall, ISCO faculty advisor and senior lecturer of history.
"The highlight of the evening will be performances by Trojan students from around the world and an international dinner featuring dishes from five continents," McCall said. "This year's festival also features art exhibits of different countries and a costume show to give attendees a closer look at fashions from around the world."
Tickets are $10 for ISCO student members, $12 for students and $15 for general admission. For additional information, contact the International Programs Office at 334-670-3335.
