Proposal development is focus of TROY SBDC workshop

TROY - Troy University's Small Business Development Center will have a workshop focusing on federal government proposal preparation Monday, Feb. 5.

"Effective Federal Government Proposal Preparation Methods and Practices" will be presented by Jerry Ellison, director of the Alabama Procurement Technical Assistance Center and an expert in securing and managing government contracts nationwide. The $20 registration fee covers materials, beverages and snacks and lunch.

The scenario-based training will provide participants an opportunity to experience the various steps and stages in developing a complete proposal, said Judy Callin, senior consultant at TROY's SBDC. A laptop is recommended for the session.

The 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. workshop will be held in the University's Joint Training Center, located at 518 South Brundidge St. in University Park room 106. It will cover the eight phases of proposal development. It is sponsored by the SBDC, Pike County Economic Development Center and the Pike County Chamber of Commerce.
