DOTHAN - Troy University and the Alabama Department of Revenue will sponsor two sessions of the New Business Tax Workshop on the Dothan Campus on March 5.

The free workshops, arranged by TROY's Small Business Development Center, will be offered from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., and repeated from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Continuing Education Center on the second floor of Adams Hall on the Dothan Campus.

ADOR staff members will address sales tax, property tax and withholding tax topics during the workshops, which offer an excellent opportunity to ask tax questions and network with resource representatives and other participants. An overview of Alabama's business tax electronic filing programs will also be presented. Information about Alabama's new ONE SPOT, a free internet filing and payment portal that allows business taxpayers to file and pay state, county and city sales, use and rental taxes all in one place will be made available.
