TROY - Troy University Public Radio's Spring Fund Drive, which helps support the programming offered by the network, is currently under way and will run through Saturday.
The drive encourages listeners to lend their support through financial gifts for the network that provides coverage in Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
"If your daily life or even just your daily commute has been changed by what you've heard on Troy Public Radio, then now is the time to support the station that is committed to bringing you the best stories and storytellers on the air," said Kyle Gassiott, Troy University Public Radio operations manager. "We can only provide this service with your support. The story continues when you do your part to support Troy Public Radio."
Troy Public Radio offers such programming as "On Point with Tom Ashbrook," "Invisiblia," "Morning Edition," "This American Life," "Car Talk," "Performance Today," "Radio Reader," and "All Things Considered," along with a selection of local programming including the award-winning "In Focus with Carolyn Hutcheson."
The network offers world, national and regional news, arts and cultural programming on 89.9 FM Montgomery/Troy, 88.7 FM Dothan, 91.7 FM Columbus/Phenix City and HD Channel 1. Hybrid Digital service, available free to listeners with HD radios, also includes HD Channel 2 Classical Music 24 and HD Channel 3 BBC World News. All of the Troy University Public Radio stations and HD channels offer listeners a commercial-free radio experience.
