DOTHAN - Troy University and the Alabama Department of Revenue will sponsor three sessions of the New Business Tax Workshop in June.

Two sessions of the workshop will be held on the Dothan Campus on June 4, one beginning at 3 p.m. and the second at 6 p.m. in the Continuing Education Center on the second floor of Adams Hall. The workshop also will be held at the Pike County Economic Development Center, 100 Industrial Blvd. in Troy, on June 23 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

ADOR staff members will address sales tax, property tax and withholding tax topics during the workshops, which offer an excellent opportunity to ask tax questions and network with resource representatives and other participants. An overview of Alabama's business tax electronic filing programs will also be presented. Information about Alabama's new ONE SPOT, a free internet filing and payment portal that allows business taxpayers to file and pay state, county and city sales, use and rental taxes all in one place will be made available.

For more information, visit the ADOR website at or call 334-793-5803 for the Dothan sessions or 334-674-2425 for the Troy session.
