TROY - Troy University's Continuing Education Center will offer a seminar series in Montgomery and Dothan designed to help business professionals navigate the fast-moving world of social media.

"Social Media for Business Professionals: A Three Part Seminar Series," will give professionals a better understanding of how to effectively use social media to communicate with the public. The seminar will take participants through the basics of launching and managing a social media platform, to more advance skills such as developing a long term content strategy and using software to monitor multiple social platforms.

The series will be offered at TROY's Montgomery Campus on Sept. 22, 29 and Oct. 6, from 6-8 p.m. each session inside Whitley Hall, Room 318. The series will move to the Dothan Campus Oct. 20, 27, and Nov. 3, also from 6-8 p.m. inside Adams Hall, Room 208.

The series will be taught by Matt Clower, University Relations Coordinator and architect of Troy University's social media campaign. In addition to his work at TROY, Clower frequently lectures and consults on social media, helping businesses and organizations craft successful social media strategies. He was named a 2015 Faculty Star by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education for his presentations on social media and is a former award-winning journalist.
