Troy hosts high school honor choir

TROY - Troy University's John M. Long School of Music hosts the 9th Annual Southeastern United States Honor Choir Jan. 15-16.

This high school recruiting event will involve 15 schools and 163 participants.

30 students will also be auditioning for scholarships to TROY University during the event.

Honor Choir attendees will be able to hear performances by the TROY Concert Chorale, Collegiate Singers, Gospel Choir and Vocal Jazz Ensemble, frequency and Directors in attendance will attend two Director’s Sessions.

The clinician for the event is Dr. Michael Hanawalt from Wichita State University.

The final performance by the SEUS Honor Choir singers will be held in the Long Hall Band Room at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16 and the performance is open to the public.
