PENSACOLA - Troy University will celebrate the opening of its new Pensacola, Fla., support center on Friday, March 4.
TROY recently moved its Pensacola location from N. Warrington Road to a new office at 2114 Airport Blvd., Suite 1150/1250.
The grand opening ceremony will be held from noon to 3 p.m., with ribbon cuttings at noon and 2 p.m. sponsored by the Pensacola and Santa Rosa County Chambers Of Commerce.
"We are proud to be a part of the Pensacola community," said Rick Puckett, Area Coordinator for the Pensacola Support Center. "This new office offers us a more visible, accessible location to meet the needs of professionals in the Pensacola area."
TROY's Pensacola Support Center is designed to meet the needs of working adults, with both in-class options and support for students taking classes online. The center offers an in-class master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with two full-time faculty members. The program is fully accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.
Resources available to online students including the use of the computer lab, proctored testing and support from TROY's faculty and staff members.
Also on Friday, March 4, the Troy University baseball team will play Auburn University during the first round of the Cox Diamond Invitational. The game will be held at 6 p.m. at the Blue Wahoo's Stadium at Pensacola Vince Whibb's Community Maritime Park.
