DOTHAN - Local children will have a chance to learn about transportation during Troy University's Summer Spectacular, an annual learning enrichment camp.

The event, open to children ages 4 to 12, will be held in Adams Hall at the Dothan Campus from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday, beginning June 7 and ending June 30.

Troy University students majoring in education lead the annual four-week summer learning enrichment program. Summer Spectacular gives TROY students hands-on experience in a classroom setting while providing a fun learning environment for children.

This year's theme is Exploring Transportation: Land, Air and Sea. Three rooms, each dedicated to either Land, Air or Sea themes, will be available to children to explore with project-based learning.

Registration is ongoing on a first-come basis for $30 per child per week.

The first week's registration cost is due at registration. Children may attend one week or all four, but should indicate on the registration form which weeks they will be attending.
