MONTGOMERY - The bird and reptiles of the Montgomery Zoo and storytelling by Montgomery resident Betty McDuffee will highlight Family Free Day at Troy University's Rosa Parks Museum on Saturday, July 16.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will also feature free tours of the museum, arts and crafts, and voter registration in the museum's atrium. The replica 1955 Montgomery City bus will also be on hand for viewing.

McDuffee adapted and narrated the stories of Peter Painter, an elf with magic pants, from the original manuscripts written by Frank Martin Webber. These stories were recorded at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. The three, one-hour tapes, each with six stories, feature cover designs by artist Cyd Moore.
